Do I need to read all of my messages? Yes or No.
Yes! Everything we send you is important, be sure to read through them. We won't be sending any "junk" to your inbox.
Why should I care about weekly contact?
-It's easy!
-It's the main way we communicate with you.
-It's how we take attendance.
-Your guardians will be notified if missing.
-It's the law.
When I need help with my class, have a question, or I don't know what to do?
Your teacher. You can find their contact info by logging in and checking your messages, looking through emails, or by looking up your teacher through the Edmonds eLearning website.

What is math?
Get caught up when I am really far behind?
It depends, but generally:
-Complete 2 days worth of work, every day.
-Work on your classes on non-school days.
-Check your weekly progress report for % goals.
What is this picture of, AND why is it important?
-Course Map
-It's essentially an assignment calendar/planner.
Do I still need to make weekly contact if I am ahead, doing fine, and my grade is good?
Yes!
When I run out of my 3 retakes on quizzes/tests?
Your teacher. They may either work with you, give you an additional retake, or something else. But let them know!

What is English?
Take my eLearning Final exam?
Check your teacher's welcome email as some will be in person at the CRC, some won't, and some classes may have no final at all.
It's a Holiday. Do I still have to work on my classes?
No. We follow the same calendar as the rest of Edmonds school district. However, you can still access and work on your classes if you choose to. If you get behind, working over weekends and holidays can be a great way to get caught up!
Does this count as weekly contact yes or no?:
"Just checking in for weekly contact, thanks!"
No, your communication needs to be academic in nature. Something like:
"I’m currently 30% complete with my class and plan to be 40% complete by Friday."
"I plan to complete my persuasive essay this week."
"Could I get help with the dividing fractions unit?"
If Edgenuity is "stuck" or not working properly for my class? And, what should I do while I wait?
-Send your teacher a message, and if you can't do that, email them. Sometimes you will encounter a weird problem, if that happens, let us know.
-While you wait for a reply, think of what else you can do that is productive such as working on a different class or assignment.

What is science?
Finish a class early?
Complete MORE work than what is listed on your course map. This could be a day early, or 2 months early. Regardless, it is the same amount of content/work that you have to put in.
What's the lowest I can score on a quiz or test to move on to the next lesson?
60%
Where do you go to send a message to your teacher?
The "Message Center" button on your Dashboard. You can click on the left, or on the "envelope" icon on the top right:
What do I do when I want to work with my teacher in person?
Two answers:
1) Contact your teacher. You can schedule with your teacher via YouCanBook.me or by messaging them directly through Maestro.
2) Just drop into the Campus Resource Center (CRC), and one of the teachers there will help you out! 11 am-4 pm on Monday-Thursday. (CRC is closed on Friday).

What is Social Studies/History?
"Miss" a day of eLearning? For example, I have a doctor's appointment, a family vacation, a sporting event, etc?
There are 2 things you need to do:
1) Schedule in the extra work for that "missed" day, so that you are one day ahead. You can use the Course Map to figure this out.
2) Make sure you are good on weekly contact for that week.
On school days, how much time should I be spending on each one of my classes?
Each class should take you about 1-1.5 hours per class, per day, to stay on pace. Essentially the same amount of time as being on-ground. If you get behind it will be more, if you get ahead it will be less.
Which days do we track weekly contact on? AKA, what timeframe are we looking at every school week?
Sunday through Saturday. Saturday is the last day to get in weekly contact each week. To be safe, contact your teacher early on in the week. Replying to the weekly progress report (usually sent on on Mondays) is the easiest way.
