Do we run from staff while off campus?
Never. Always make sure a staff member can see you while on field trips.
If a friend or peer isn't following directions, what should we do?
Let staff redirect the peer or have another student?
Staff - Only staff members are allowed to redirect students / peers
What are some ways to stay safe?
Following directions, keeping a calm body, keeping hands and feet to self, asking for help
What are the bus expectations during a field trip?
Name atleast two
Staying seated, no screaming or yelling, following directions, being respectful
What are some ways to be respectful?
Cleaning up after ourselves, following directions, using kind words towards peers and staff
The field trip is about to be over. Name 3 things we should not do as we are getting ready to leave.
Run from staff, continue playing, refuse to get on the bus, refuse to leave, ignore staff directions. (if we do some of these things what might happen?)
How do we stay respectful on field trips?
Listen to staff, say please and thank you, being mindful of other people around us (this includes the EDP group and others in the community)
We don't like the rec game that is being played. What should we do?
Try it out, ask staff for help, take a break, take a deep breath.
What are some ways we can be a positive participant?
Encourage others, try something new, doing our best, keeping calm or asking for help when frusterated.
Name three things we should not do when it is time to go home?
Continue playing, hide from staff, argue with staff, refuse to put our shoes on, refuse to leave, run around the gym, ask for 5 more minutes.
