Why do scientists use microscopes?

Scientists use microscopes to look at organisms we can't see with the naked eye.

100

What is the Ocular Lens

The thing you use to look at the specimen/thing.

100

What is a specimen

A specimen is an individual, and part from a larger group of species and is usually used for scientific study.

200
Why is the microscope important for scientific study?

It is important so you can see things that the naked eye couldn't see, like cells, viruses, and more.

200

What is the scanning objective

The objective to magnify things by four times; BONUS: You always use this objective FIRST.

200

What is a tardigrade?

A tardigrade is an microorganism that is very strong, and can even survive space.

300

What is perspective?

Perspective is your point of view in things and what you see.

300

What is the Low and High Power Objective

The Low Power objective is to focus things by ten times, and the high power objective is to focus things by 40 times.

400
How does perspective affect microscopes?

People use microscopes and may have to change their perspective by changing the objectives, or moving the slide so that you can see other things. For example, if you were at the scanning objective and then switch to the low power objective, you would have a different perspective because it is more zoomed in and focused.

400

Why does it say WF25X or 10X near the Ocular Lens?

Because it normally gets magnified by that amount, so you have to multiply it by the amount of the objective given.
500

Name 7 parts of the microscope.

Whatever you say if you get it right (3 objective lenses count as 3)

500

What is 10X(Low Power objective) with a 10X Ocular Lens?

100X total magnification.
