What is a run-on sentence?
When you put two sentences together-- have a noun and a verb--without using punctuation or a connecting word like "and" or "but." It's like when you forget to take a breath between two ideas!
What is a sentence fragment?
These are little bits of sentences that don't make sense on their own. They're like puzzle pieces that need to be put together with other words to complete the picture.
(A subject but not a verb, explains something but doesn't identify what it's explaining, etc.)
