Tico changes from the beginning to the end of the story because at first he wants to be like all the other birds, but at the end, he is happy being himself. For example, at the beginning of the story, Tico wants to have wings to fly like the other birds. However, another example is that at the end, he is happy having the wings he was given and happy giving to others instead. This shows that Tico changed, he learned that what you want isn't always what you need.
