What is fiction?
This type of character is who the story is mostly about. They face lots of problems (or conflicts) within the story.
What is a major character?
This type of conflict is between a character and an outside force.
What is an external conflict?
The sequence of events that make a story.
What is plot?
Who or what the sentence is about.
What is a subject?
Writing based on true information.
What is nonfiction?
This type of character does not change over time.
What is a static character?
This type of conflict is internal, and takes place within the character's mind.
The most tense or dramatic part of a story, or where the biggest problem happens.
What is the climax?
The action of a sentence.
What is the predicate?
A problem in a story.
What is a conflict?
This type of character helps move the story along, and supports the major character.

The story comes to an end and the conflict is either solved, or not.
What is the resolution?
Two parts of a complete sentence.
What is a subject and a predicate?
What is realism (or realistic/historical fiction)?
This type of character changes over time due to the events in the story.
What is a dynamic character?
This type of conflict takes place between characters.
What is Character vs. Character?
The part of the story where characters, setting, and the conflict are introduced.
What is the exposition?
Part of a sentence (either the subject or predicate is missing).
What is a fragment?
A problem within the character's mind.
What is internal conflict?
This type of character has a well-developed personality. They seem like a real person, and we see different sides to them.
What is a round character?
This type of conflict takes place between a character and a larger force that impacts many people (war, poverty, etc.)
What is Character vs. Society?
The part of the plot where events build toward the climax.
The part of the plot where the story starts to wind down and wrap up.
What is the rising action?
What is the falling action?
Two or more sentences that run together without punctuation.
