As you're getting into bed after a long day (Your wife isn't feeling well AND BYU football just lost their second straight game to ASU), you realize that you totally forgot to say your personal prayer. Your already so comfortable and don't want to get out to get on your knees and pray, but you know you should. What do you do?
As you finish your prayer, you feel the presence of the Holy Ghost profoundly. You are reminded of all you have to be thankful for and how immensely blessed you are. You feel strengthened by the Lord and closer to Him too. You get back in bed happy that you got out to say that simple prayer.
You and your wife made a goal to go to the temple once a month after the Prophet's talk in October and have really enjoyed it. The night before your 6am endowment, you have to stay up late working on a project for work. Do you still go to the temple in the morning?
When you go to the endowment session, not only do you not fall asleep but you have a profound spiritual experience with your wife in the temple. You learn something new about your covenants that you had not considered before.
A new action movie comes out that you really want to see but is rated R. You aren't entirely sure why it is rated R and wonder if it still okay for you to go watch, besides it is just one movie anyway right?
You end up going to the movie and find out why it is rated R... But you still actually like the movie, those action scenes are awesome! You don't realize it, but your perspective on rated R movies, and media in general, is slowly changing!
The Prophet recently invited us to "Think Celestial" and you have challenged yourself to do so. On your way to work, a car cuts you off and you have to slam on the brakes to avoid them. You end up being stopped next to them at the light and are debating giving them a piece of your mind...
You decide to ignore it and are much happier that day and end up forgetting about it by the time you walk into the office. What you didn't know was that the person that cut you off is mourning the loss of a loved one due to terminal illness and they haven't left the house in weeks. They were driving to go sit on the temple grounds, seeking peace.
After a long day of work/school you are on your way home and realize that your wife asked you to go get butter from the store. You are really close to home and the store is now out of your way by a few minutes...
You end up going to get the butter and also decide to get her a bouquet of flowers. When you get home she is so excited about what you got and tells you that she had a hard day but this is just what she needed to be cheered up! You are the best husband ever
