Since I am registered in Riley County, there is no way for me to check in and sign a Geary County poll book. I must sign a paper poll book, provided by Riley County and vote a paper ballot.

The provisional ballot envelope was designed to be a "dual control" function. It was designed this way to ensure accuracy that the envelope and VR card is filled out correctly.

Are the election results you see on election night final in Kansas?

No. What’s reported on Election Night are unofficial results. Counties have Boards of Canvassers that later review provisional ballots and certify the results.

Provisional ballots are tabulated by the Board of Canvassers at the Canvass. Then, once the Board of Canvassers are done, the Board of County Commission must agree and certify the election.
