What happens when one light bulb is unscrewed from a series circuit?
In a parallel circuit, if one light bulb is unscrewed, the other light blub stays lit. The electrical current has another way to get to the light bulb. Each light bulb has its own path through which the electrical current flows.
In a series circuit, if one light bulb is unscrewed, the other light bulb does not light up. The electrical current must go through both bulbs. So when one becomes unscrewed, the circuit is broken and all the lights go out.
