This eight-sided polygon is commonly associated with a traffic sign, one that we see on a daily basis.
What is an octagon?
A straight line that is perpendicular to a surface that runs down-up or up-down.

This form of texture can be described as being hard and bumpy. Examples include: rocks, pavement, etc.
What is rough texture?
This type of paint is typically opaque, and is activated by water. The vibrance of each color is dependent on the amount of water used.

On the color wheel, these colors are directly across from each other and are often referred to as "opposite colors."

Quadrilateral that has two parallel sides. and two non-parallel sides.

This term refers to the pattern of variations found on a solid surface.
What is physical texture?
a malleable mixture of paper and glue, that becomes hard when dry.
What is paper mâché?
Group of colors made by mixing one part of a primary color with half part of another primary color. (Ex. Blue mixed with green makes blue-green.)
What are tertiary colors?
Shapes, often curvilinear in appearance, that are similar to those found in nature such as plants or rocks, that do not require geometry or mathematics.
What are organic shapes?
A discontinuous line or series of line segments.
What is broken line?
This form of texture can only be perceived by the viewer. Artists use color, shape, light, shadow, and other two-dimensional techniques to make artwork appear to have texture.
What is implied texture?
This art tool or medium is used when drawing and is similar to a graphite pencil, however it has a darker hue and a chalk like appearance.
