What are the characters of a story?
Part where the conflicts are introduced and suspense is built.
What is the rising action?
Writing that is made up or not based on true events
What is Fiction?
The turning point when the action reaches a peak and is typically the most exciting part
What is the climax?
The reader becomes a part of the story. Uses "you".
What is second person point of view?
Author tells the reader exactly what the character is like. You don’t have make inferences/guess.
What is direct characterization?
Sets the stage for the story. Characters are introduced, the setting is described , and general feel of story is seen.
What is the exposition?
How a character is described through their physical traits, personality, actions, and thoughts/feelings.
What is characterization?
Author shows the audience what kind of person a character is through their thoughts, words, and actions. Reader uses this information to make inferences/guesses about the character.
What is indirect characterization?
the events that follow the climax and bring us to the resolution. The conflict is starting to be resolved.
What is falling action?
How the author writes the text - 1st, 2nd, or 3rd person.

The character's eyes we view the story through.
