Elements of Fiction
People, animals, or imaginary creatures that must solve the problem of the story.
Protagonist
Part where the story becomes more intense for the protagonist.
Rising Action
The struggle between a character and something outside the character (another character, weather, technology, etc).
What is external conflict?
The character is telling the story. Pronouns you will see are "I, Me, Us, We".
1st Person point of view

Setting
Sets the stage for the story. Characters and their traits are introduced, the setting is described.
Exposition
The villian or opposing force in a story.

Characters that are developed with personality and present throughout most of the story.

Plot
The events that follow the climax and bring us to the resolution.
Falling Action
The vantage point from which a story is told.
Point of View/Perspective
Characters that are not present throughout the entire plot and are barely developed (traits).
