The character is in conflict with some kind of technology
This can be a machine, artificial intelligence, robot, etc.
What type of conflict is this: The character is being evacuated from their home because of a wild fire.

What is the time and place (or when and where) of the story?
The Setting.

What is Rising Action?
The events that occur as a result of the main conflict; the story becomes complicated.
Define Character vs. Supernatural.
The character is against supernatural phenomena or creatures such as ghosts, gods, zombies, or other monsters
This can also be a conflict against fate or destiny and the characters may struggle to accept the sacrifices that come with their journey
What type of conflict is this: the character is having anxiety over coming to school.

What is Resolution?
The conclusion or ending of the story—loose ends are tied up; the problem (conflict) is resolved.

The character is in opposition (against) nature
This can mean the weather, the wilderness, or a natural disaster
What type of conflict is this: the character fights with their best friend over them hanging out with their boyfriend over them.

What POV is it when the narrator sees/hears only what’s in front of them; they don’t know what any of the characters are thinking/feeling?

The introduction or beginning of the story—characters, setting and the main conflict are introduced.
Define Character vs. Society.
The character is in opposition with the society they exist in
This can be against a government, community, cultural tradition, or societal norm
The characters may be motivated to take action against their society by a need to survive, a moral sense of right and wrong, or a desire for happiness, freedom, justice, or love.
What type of conflict is this: a person is either destined to save the world or destroy it.

What is the difference between tone and mood?
Tone is the word and language being used. Mood is the feeling created.
What POV is it when the narrator can see/hear everything ONE character does, and they know what only this character is thinking?

What is Falling Action?
The story begins to slow down and work towards its end, tying up loose ends.

An internal conflict
The character is struggling with something from within themselves
This may be a moral struggle—trying to figure out what is “right” and “wrong”
This can also be a struggle of health
What type of conflict is this: a character doesn't want a quinceanea even though it's a tradition.
