I certainly think so, even though it hasn't been said in the book. I think that the fact Mr. Kellerman shared his experience on bullying and how it affects a person motivated him to pursue the third party because Bobby surely doesn't want anyone to go through what Mr. Kellerman has gone through.

Addie convinced Bobby to read the speech. Yes, he was much more confident as he was able to perform brilliantly and the election.
