Going strictly by Scripture, James, John, Peter and Andrew are the four disciples who were fishermen. It is possible other members of the original Twelve Disciples were fishermen as well, but there is no documentation in the Gospels.
After the Prophet Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum were murdered in Carthage, IL, their bodies were hidden for a time within the walls of this Nauvoo building that was still under construction.
What is the Nauvoo House?
It was a temporary solution as there were still those evil-doers who wished to lay claim on the bodies in order to receive a monetary reward. She was able to view the golden plates from which Joseph Smith had translated the Book of Mormon. This was a reward because she cleaned, cooked and cared for many people who came to her home for meetings as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was being organized.
Who is Mary Whitmer?
Mary Whitmer is one of the greatest examples of Christ-like service in the history of the Church. She was on her back porch when she was approached by a man (angel?) who told her that because of her faithfulness she would be allowed to see the gold plates. Not even Emma Smith viewed the plates, although she did feel them through their cloth covering on several occassions.
