2. What is the relationship between 5+ absences and assignments?
Students in this course should not be absent for more than two classes in a course that meets weekly, or more than 4 classes in a course that meets twice per week. Additional absences will result in a 50% deduction in the assignment given on the 5th+ day the student was absent.
*Students are reminded that a passing grade in this course is a C- and that excessive absences can result in failure of this course due to unmet learning outcomes. In this course, attendance is critical for meeting learning outcomes required to pass. Merely submitting assignments without attending class learning activities, even if assignments are within deadlines, is not enough. Students must be present and engaged in the class.
