Parties
This party was celebrated in fall and students dressed up in costumes for a parade in the bus loop.
Halloween Party
In this class we learned how to read vowel teams, sight words, and have neat handwriting.
Superkids OR Reading
This teacher is tall, she has curly hair and bright blue eyes. She loves to paddle board and is very good at skiing. She teaches Integrated Studies. She is playful and loves to get a little crazy sometimes. She helps lead Student Council. She has a boyfriend who dressed up as a superhero on Monday.
Miss Lisle
This is something you can play on outside. It is dome shaped and looks like a metal web. Students hang upside down like monkeys and swing back and forth on it. What is it?
The spider web
This specials class was in the gym. Students learned how to use their bodies to run, jump, stretch, and play games.
PE
This party was celebrated in the fall with a whole school dinner and table settings. Parents came and ate lunch with students and teachers had students making thankful feathers for their headbands.
Thanksgiving Feast
In this class we learned how to count by 5's and 10's, how to add and subtract, and how to measure.
Math
This teacher has long, dark brown hair. She loves to ride her 4 wheeler and go bike riding. She coaches Girls on the Run. She smiles a lot and has tons of games in her room. She teaches math and her husband has visited first grade before.
Mrs. Walters
This is an area you can kick a ball and chase after it. Students can get into groups to play, but everyone just joins in mostly. There are two large nets, one at each end of the field. What is this area called?
The soccer field
This specials class had books all over in it. The teacher read to you and then let you pick out a book. There are games in this specials and pages to color.
Library
This party happens at the end of the year for reading, but this year we did it at the beginning. We had the fire department come and spray water on a huge slip and slide.
Water Fun Party
In this class we learned how to ask questions, do experiments, and how the world works a little. We studied rocks, sand, solids, liquids, and gasses and we learned how to take care of our world.
Science
This teacher has longer blond hair. She was a student teacher this year and just graduated to be a teacher. She is very excited about teaching 4th grade next year at Highland. She made our room extra special this year. She loves to hike and visit with her 2 daughters.

This specials class was in a portable classroom. You played on the computers and learned how to use this tool at school.
Computers
This party happens in winter. We celebrate by drinking cocoa, eating treats, and watching a movie. It is the last thing we do before Christmas Break.
Christmas Party
In this class we learned where we are in the world and how to be a community member. We learned how to make maps, how people in other cultures attend school, the traditions of our family and those of others. We learned how to value each other.
Social Studies
This teacher has long medium brown hair. She likes to hug and have fun. She laughs a lot. She loves camping, hiking, and rock collecting. She leads Student Council, STEM, and DI. She teaches Integrated Studies.

Ball
Music
This party happens in the winter and is symbolized by hearts. Students give each other cards and candy and people dress up with red or pink or in their nicest outfits. We have lots of goodies and LOVE!
Valentine's Day Party
In this class we learned what narratives, informatives, and opinion papers are. We learned how to write papers, letters, stories, and keep journals.
Writing class
This teacher has short brown hair. She loves to spend time with her children - 1 in 5th grade, 1 in 3rd grade, and 1 in middle school - and has been on some cruises and ran several 5k races. She also coaches Girls on the Run. She loves to draw and writes very pretty.
Mrs. Ravenschlag
These are cards students could bring and trade with each other. Some students could earn them for reading. Some students kept them in a box or a book with holder pockets. The characters on these cards include Pikachu, Bulbasaur, or Umbreon.

This specials class is out in the portables. You get to make art and experiment with paints, colors, and drawings.
