Own up to being unkind and say "Yeah I'm sorry I was unkind and said those things. I wont let my own bad day make me unkind again."

OR simply, "I'm really sorry I was so unkind, I will try not to let that happen ever again."

Why is the skill of sportsmanship important for life? 

Because as we get older we might still play sports and we will want to be good teammates and others will know we are respectful. Even watching games, you can show good sportsmanship by choosing respectful words. It is a skill we can use all through life from sports, to watching, to playing games at home

How can you advocate for yourself?

A friend is running away from you when you try to go play or talk to them. They then call you names and tell you to go away, and have other friends tell you that you need to stay away. 

Try to use an I-statement: I feel sad and hurt when you leave me out. Can I please play with you or talk to you? 

If that does not work, ask a teacher for help! "I have tried to solve the problem on my own, but it isn't working and my friend is saying really unkind things to me and not letting me play.
