Describe the flow of blood through the heart.

Enters from the superior or inferior vena cava into the right atrium, flows through the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle, through the pulmonary valve into the pulmonary artery, it goes through the lungs becoming oxygenated. The blood then comes back into the heart from the pulmonary vein and enters into the left atrium. Through the mitral valve then into the left ventricle. Passing through the aortic valve and into the aorta which sends oxygen rich blood to the rest of the body.
