What is a coping skill?
A coping skills is a tool I can use to help me feel calm
What is Empathy?
Being able to put yourself in someone else's shoes to understand what they might be going through. Also responding in a way that shows you care.
What is perspective-taking?
Perspective taking is being able to look at things the way someone else might see things.
What is self-esteem?
Self-esteem is the way you feel about yourself.

Explain the importance of having coping skills
Coping skills are important to have because we need to be able to use tool to help regulate our emotions. All feelings are okay, but what matters is how we deal with them.
Why is showing empathy important?
It shows other people you care about them. It helps build healthy and positive relationships with others.
Why is perspective taking so important?
It's important to be able to see other peoples perspective because it helps us resolve conflicts and it helps us better understand the other person.
How do you think self-esteem relates to how well you do in school?
When you feel good about yourself you feel confident. This means you will try new things, learn from mistakes and work hard.
