How energy is transfered from the sun to a producer through various consumers
What is a physical change?
When matter changes but does not create a new substance. For instance, a physical change is the coke and mentos experiment or the boiling of water.
Can particles be seen with the naked eye? Why not?
They are too small
What does a filter usually seperate?
Liquids and solids or gases and solids
What is a food web?
Shows how different food chains are interconnected
How can we change experiments?
By refining them, looking at what worked and what we could do better

Liquid: Movement but slow.

What is a chemical change?
When there is a change where there is a new substance created from that change. For instance: Burning wood, rotting fruit, souring of milk
If I mix sugar or salt into a cup, even though I can't see it, those particles are still in there. Describe an experience that would prove this.
Boil all the water out of the cup, let the water evaporate, or taste it to see if there is a salty/sweet taste
What does it mean to filter the internet?
Seperate the bad websites from the good ones
What is the role of scavenger and decomposer?
They are the organisms that break down other organisms after they have died
What is an independent variable?
The only thing we change during the experiment.
I add a spoonful of salt to water and mix it together. After a few minutes, Mr. Johnson can't see the salt. What happened?
The salt broke down into smaller pieces (IE they dissolved)
If I put metal shavings into sugar, what would be the best way to seperate those two substances in a pot of water?
A magnet
