A situation or statement that seems to contradict itself, but actually takes these conflicting points to express a possible truth.

You will find this at the beginning of the story and it will give us information of the time, place and characters in the story.
What is the beginning or introduction?
This person is often described as the foil to Arnold.
Who is Rowdy?
These characters are described in depth with many characters.
What is a round character?
When an inanimate object is given the characteristics as being a living person or animal.
What is personification?
This gives the reader enough information to understand what you will be discussing.
What is context?
This is what happens in a story.
What is the plot?
We don't get the impression that Arnold likes this person, but he is one of the first people who tell him to leave the reservation and does so out of kindness.
Who is Mr. P.?
Very often, a minor character are both of these things.
What is flat and static?
This type of written structure involves using the same patterns of words, phrases, or clauses to show that two or more ideas have the same level of importance
What is parallel structure?
There is no limit to the number of these you will have in an essay, but you will usually aim for three.

What is indirect characterization?
Every story has this. It is the problem or struggle in a story that triggers the action.
What is conflict?
