How do you start the day with Engage 360?
Where do you report?
Report to the lunch tables. After the first day, you must report to the same table daily.
Say your name, after I have checked you in, wait until all students are checked in.
Have a seat and wait for instructions.
Be sure to clean up before lining up.
What should the noise level be inside the classroom
Zero, or whispering. No exceptions.
Reading smoothly and fast without stopping on every single word.

G - Give respectful attention: Listen when the teacher, or a classmate speaks.
What should you do if the fire alarm goes off?
Do not panic. You are prepared for this.
Wait for the teachers directions. When ready, line up quietly, head to your designated spot on the field.
What does a proper line of students look like? Explain.

After sitting in our assigned seats, what is the first thing that you do?
Homework. Take all homework out, do not start by asking questions or having a discussion. This is silent time for homework. No exceptions.

What can you expect when you break a rule?
Loss of privilege

What is Student Council or Representative?
What is the first thing we do before leaving our tables and lining up to go home?
We check under the tables, inside the desks. Throw trash inside the trash bin, wipe tables if they are dirty, push in the chairs, etc.
Written account of events, real or imagined. It functions as a story or a specific way of explaining and understanding experiences.

G - Goals kept in sight: Focus on daily learning targets and self-monitor progress.
E - Effort always shown: Try your best even when work gets hard.
What do you need with you in order to leave class for any reason, such as:
Using the restroom, heading to snack or the Engage office, etc.
Permission. If you have permission, you will have a pass. Do not get caught without a pass.
Explain the purpose and importance of our hour of success/silence.
Why is this important? What can you gain? How does this benefit you?
Using this time wisely will allow homework to be completed prior to heading home.
Working silently helps everyone focus.
Actively, repeatedly following guidelines embed independence and confidence. This builds character and shows true value.
Becoming self sufficient and independent creates paths for future success and future leaders.
How should we leave our tables/desks when leaving the classroom?
Clean/organized-cleaner than you found it
Usually given as an assignment: An objective summary and description of the subjects content. It shares the basic information or plot, lists characters, or main ideas so that someone else can understand the information.
What is a book report?
Also acceptable: book review, literary analysis, summary, and written assignment
