when you start, you will pull down the DEER GUARD and open the hood. before anything what do you do first before starting at any side of the engine.
when your done with the first step which side do you start with and what do you point out and say to the Examiner?
1) Check for any leaks & Leans; "were checking for any leaks and leans and there are none."
2) Passenger General Hoses: "Now to the passenger side, My passenger side GENERAL HOSES are PROPERLY MOUNTED AND SECURED AT BOTH ENDS, THERE ARE NO ABRASION, BULGES, OR CUTS. AND ITS NOT LEAKING ANY FULIDS OR AIR.
Next after Oil Level?
Power steering reservoir: "It's properly mounted & secured, not cracked, bent, or broken. It's filled to the manufacturer's specification & ITS NOT LEAKING.
After your done with the steering gear box whats next?
What 3 things does it consist of?
and what are 3 things you are NOT missing within it?
Steering linkage: "which consists of the PITMAN ARM, DRAG LINK, & TIE ROD. they are properly mounted and secured, not cracked bent or broken, and i am not missing any of my 3 CASTLE NUTS & COTTER PINS."
whats next after the spring hanger and arm?
U-BOLTS: "it is properly mounted and secured not cracked, bent or broken and there are NO missing bolts"
what is after the brake drum?
Steer Tire: "Properly mounted and secured, there are no abrasions, bulges, or cuts to the TREAD or SIDE WALLS. THE TREAD IS NO LESS THEN 4/32nd OF AN INCH, CHECKED WITH A TIRE DEPTH GAUGE. the tire is filled to the MANUFACTURERS SPECIFICATION and checked with a AIR GAUGE."
Once done with the passenger side you move to what side next?
what do you also state to the examiner?
Drivers side General Hoses: "Now to the drivers side, My drivers side GENERAL HOSES ARE PROPERLY MOUNTED AND SECURED AT BOTH ENDS,THERE NO ABRASION, BULGES, OR CUTS & THEY ARE NOT LEAKING.
After Power Steering Reservoir?
Power steering GEAR BOX HOSE: " It's properly mounted & secured at both ends. No abrasions Bulges, Or Cuts and ITS NOT LEAKING."
NEXT, what holds the Leaf spring/spring arm?
Spring Hanger: "The front and back are properly mounted and secured, not cracked bent or broken."
after the U-bolts?
Shock absorber: "properly mounted and secured at both ends. its not cracked, bent, or broken. and its not leaking.
free-be:(incase your trainers truck has this, if not: ignore it) [next AIRBAG: Properly mounted and secured at both ends. there are no abrasions, bulges cuts and its not leaking.]
after the steer tire?
Valve stem: "its properly mounted & secured, not cracked bent or broken and the cap is not missing its own type."
After general hoses what is next? and what do you state?
Coolant Reservoir - "is Properly mounted and secured, not cracked bent or broken, IT IS FILLED TO THE MANUFACTURERS SPECIFICATION, AND IT IS NOT LEAKING.
After the Steering gear box HOSE?
Steering Gear Box: "is Properly mounted and secured, not cracked, bent, or broken & is not leaking.
what does the Spring Hanger hold?
Spring Arm/ Leaf spring: "which runs from the front to the back HELD UP by the spring hanger/mount. It is properly mounted and secured at both ends, not cracked, bent or broken, and it is not shifted."
after shock absorber/airbags?
Brake Hose: 'properly mounted and secured at both ends, no abrasions, bulges, or cuts and is not leaking"
after valve stem?
Rim: "properly mounted and secured. not cracked, bent or broken, THERE ARE NO UNAUTHORIZED WELDS, AND NO LUG NUT HOLES OUT OF ROUND."
After coolant reservoir, whats next and what do you say?
Oil Level- "my oil, is checked with a dip stick, and is filled to the manufacturers specification."
after brake hose.
Brake drum: "is properly mounted and secured, not cracked bent or broken. It has no oil, debris or contaminants on the drum"
After your rim?
Lug nuts: "are properly mounted and secured, none are missing, there's no powder residue and no shiny studs, and no holes out of rounds"
