This is a type of grammar technique in which the writer must use the same pattern of words in order to show that two or more ideas have the same level of importance. ie: I am going to study, play games, and read.

This is a writing style that uses different techniques such as emotion as well as logic/reasoning to show how one side of an argument is more legitimate than another.

This is when a piece of visual or narrative media uses one thing to “stand in for” a different, hidden idea. ie: Miller uses the 1692 Salem Witch trials as a stand in for McCarthyism during the 1950s.

This is the spacing between the edge of the paper and the text on a page. According to MLA it should be 1 inch.

This is a persuasive technique in which writers use logic and reasoning in order to persuade readers.
What is Logos?
This is a type of punctuation most commonly used to link two related independent clauses.
What is a semicolon?
This is the idea or feeling a word invokes based on the context it is used in addition to the literal/primary meaning.
What is Connotation?
This is a writing tool where authors will reference something from history, a well known piece of literature, or something of cultural significance without referencing it directly. ie: Chocolate is his Kryptonite.
