I’m from Guadalajara, Jalisco in Mexico.
What do you do? (what is your job?)
I’m a carpenter / painter / plumber.
What’s your favorite favorite food?
My favorite food is carne asada.
What is a project you are working on now?
I’m working on framing an office building/ church / store.
What is the weather like where you live?
It’s beautiful weather; it’s sunny and warm.
What is a typical day at work like for you?
I get to work, clock in, check my schedule, and gather tools and materials. Then I go to the jobsite and get to work! At noon, I have lunch, then I work until 5:30 p.m.
What’s your least favorite food?
My least favorite food is “higado” (liver).
What did you do for a holiday last year? (Example- Christmas)
We spent Christmas Eve at my brother’s house and then opened gifts/presents the next day at my house.
Describe your family.
I have a small family that includes my wife and my two children. We are a happy family.
What do you normally wear to work?
I wear the company uniform to work. / I wear jeans, boots, a heavy coat, and gloves.
What is your routine on Saturdays?
I get up early on Saturday to mow the lawn, throw the trash, and clean my garage. / I eat lunch with my family, then we usually go run errands, and do our grocery shopping.
What did you do last weekend?
I went to my niece’s quinceañera. / I did chores around the house and went grocery shopping.
Do you have pets?
We have a Chihuahua. / No, I don't have any pets.
How do you get to work in the morning (either transportation or directions)?
I drive to work or I go by bus.
What is your Sunday routine?
On Sundays, I wake up late, go to church, and relax with my family.
Where will you go on vacation next? What will you do there?
We plan to visit relatives in California. We want to take our children to Disneyland.
