Analyze the three main types of irony. Why are they different from each other? Be specific.
The three types of irony are verbal, situational, and dramatic. Verbal irony occurs when someone says one thing and means something else. Situational irony takes place when there is a discrepancy between what is expected to happen and what actually happens. Dramatic irony occurs when a character in a play/story thinks one thing is true but the audience or reader knows better.
