What is the purpose of us reading this short story right after talking about Stories of self?

Ms. Flynn's answer (will take other responses if they make sense): This story follows a group of people who have imperfections that they are given a chance to go back and fix. They choose to go back to when they are young, but do not fix those imperfections and repeat the same mistakes. Imperfections are apart of who you are as a person, and are therefore part of your own stories of self and you need to think about them and reflect upon them. Even though you can not go back and have that second chance, you can think about your imperfections and grow from them instead of letting yourself make the same mistakes over and over.
