Story Elements
The main problem or struggle between opposing forces in a story that drives the plot. There are 2 types
Conflict
The main events and conflicts that lead up to the climax.
Rising Action
This suffix means "lacking; without"

This is the part where you state the character's attempt at fixing the main problem.

Direct Characterization
This is the part where you say the main problem that prevents the character from getting what they want,

Plot
The point in the story that resolves the conflicts and concludes the story.
Resolution

This type of characterization is when an author clearly describes a character and what they are like.
Indirect Characterization
This is the part of the summary where you state what the character wanted to do.
W - Wanted to
This story element conveys a life lesson from the story to the reader.
Theme
The starting point of change in the story. It introduces the main conflicts and sets up the drive to the climax.
Triggering Event
This suffix means "full of"

This is the acronym to help find out the traits of indirect characters.
STEAL - Speech, Thoughts, Effect on others, Actions, Looks
This is the part of the summary where you describe the outcome of the story.
T - Then
This story element combines time, place, and mood to give the reader an image and feeling of what the story is like.
Setting
The background information to the story and its characters.
Exposition

This type of character goes through no change in emotions and isn't very important.
Static/Flat Characters
This is the part of the summary where you state the main character in the story.
