In your own words, explain the PIRATES Strategy (not the sub-strategies, just PIRATES!)
I get ready for the test by looking it over carefully and reading all the directions. I read all directions carefully to ensure I know what to do. At each new question, I think about what I do know, and cross out the answers I know are not possible. I skip questions I am unsure about, but keep looking or clues for their answer. When I finish the test, I come back to any unanswered questions and make the best guess using ACE. I finish by re-checking the whole test one last time.
