A few years ago a man by the name of Mr. 'K,' who was quite respected among his local community, was invited to a friend's home; I and a few others, including Mr. 'G,' were also present. A tanbour was handed to Mr. 'K,' and he played a few incomplete and unpleasant pieces. Mr. 'G,' who knew of my reputation as a tanbourist, insisted that I play as well. To avoid embarrassing Mr. 'K' I declined to play. Notwithstanding the fact that Mr. 'K' thought it was because I dared not play in front of him, I accepted that and refrained from playing, for had he heard my tanbour he would have certainly despaired. What kind of lesson in ethics can students learn from this experience? What is the moral of this story? چند سال پیش شخصی به نام «ک» از ایل گوران که خیلی هم در محل خود احترام داشت، منزل یکی از دوستان دعوت شده بود. من و چند نفر دیگر من‌جمله‌ آقای «غ» هم آنجا بودیم. تنبوری به دست «ک» دادند، چند آهنگ ناقص و ناشیرین نواخت. آقای «غ» که سابقه‌ی تنبور زدن مرا داشت، اصرار کرد که من‌هم تنبور بزنم. برای اینکه «ک» خجالت نکشد، نزدم. گرچه «ک» خیال کرد چون در مقابل اوست جرئت نمی‌کنم بزنم، مع‌ذلک آن را قبول کردم و تنبور نزدم، زیرا اگر تنبور مرا می‌شنید حتماً از خودش مأیوس می‌شد اين خاطره استاد در بر دارنده چه درس اخلاقى براى شاگردان مى باشد ؟چه نتيجه اى از اين داستان مى توان گرفت؟
