Outline how a blister should be cared for when it is drained
What is - wash area wit soap and warm water - use a needle and puncture the base of the blister and gently drain by applying light pressure (may need to be repeated several times for the first day) (Don't remove top of blister) - check area daily for redness to determine if infected - 3-7 days remove top of the blister apply antibiotic ointment and cover with a sterile dressing - watch area closely for signs of infection such as redness or pus and pad the area well with gauze pad or moleskin
