Cellular Transport Passive
Cellular Transport Active
100
a colorless, transparent, odorless, tasteless liquid that forms the seas, lakes, rivers, and rain on Earth. This is the basis of the fluids of living organisms.
What is Water?
100
the material or protoplasm within a living cell
What is Cytoplasm
100
a colorless, odorless gas produced by burning carbon and organic compounds and by respiration. It is absorbed by plants in photosynthesis
What is Carbon Dioxide
200
a colorless, odorless gas produced by burning carbon and organic compounds and by respiration. It is absorbed by plants in photosynthesis and is turned to oxygen as an aftermath.
What is Carbon Dioxide
200
a transparent and scentless reactive gas, the life-supporting component of the air. Forms about 20 percent of the earth's atmosphere, and is the most replete element in the earth's crust, mainly in the form of oxides, silicates, and carbonates.
What is Oxygen
200
Cytoplasm -the material or protoplasm within a living cell
What is Cytoplasm
200
is the when the cell takes in water but leave some out of it to keep the balance of what is in the cell and what's not but, if too much water is added to the body the cells won’t know when to stop only that they have to keep osmosis and equilibrium so it will continue to bring in water until it pops and dies.
What is Osmosis
200
this is much like passive cellular transport except one major detail it REQUIRES ENERGY but has everything the same but it needs the energy to operate it if that makes sense
What is active cellular transport
300
organelles found in plant cells and eukaryotic algae that conduct photosynthesis. They absorb sunlight and use it in compression with water and carbon dioxide to produce food for the plant.
What are Chloroplasts
300
a sweet crystalline substance obtained from various plants, primarily sugar cane, and sugar beet. Consisting essentially of sucrose and used as a sweetener in food and drink.
What is Sugar / Glucose
300
a colorless, transparent, odorless, tasteless liquid that forms the seas, lakes, rivers, and rain and is the basis of the fluids of living organisms.
What is Water
300
is the process of which takes in or exports to supply the organ the efficient amount of dioxide, oxygen, proteins, water/osmosis, and other nutrients WITHOUT USING ENERGY but also keeping equilibrium.
What is Passive Cellular Transport
300
it means that since the cell(s) needs water or anything not in particular order it grabs all the nutrients it can to survive.
What is Low to High
400
a green pigment, present in all green plants, responsible for the absorption of light to provide energy for photosynthesis.
What is Chlorophyll
400
an organelle found in large numbers in most cells, in which the biochemical processes of respiration and energy production occur. It has a double membrane, the inner layer being folded inward to form layers.
What is Mitochondria
400
a colorless syrupy organic acid formed in sour milk and produced in the muscle tissues during vigorous exercise.
What is Latic Acid
400
is the movement of cells in a populated area to an unpopulated area. ex. Let's say there are about 15 counties in a city within 5 miles of each other and then there is an area of the city where there are no counties if it was the body, the counties would move until they were more separated out so they are covering the area but not too far away from each other.
What is Diffusion
400
It is when the cell has something like a bacteria inside of it so it does the exact opposite of endocytosis it forms the membrane around the bacteria inside itself and after a while the outer membrane disintegrates.
What is Exocytosis
500
how nature moves energy at an accelerated rate. This makes up about 99% of the body's atoms and cells, and signal all body parts to carry out their particular tasks.
What are Light Energy
500
a sweet crystalline substance obtained from various plants, especially sugar cane and sugar beet, consisting essentially of sucrose and used as a sweetener in food and drink.
What is Sugar / Glucose
500
a sweet crystalline substance obtained from various plants, especially sugar cane and sugar beet, consisting essentially of sucrose and used as a sweetener in food and drink.
What is Sugar / Glucose
500
is when the cell requires something outside the cell membrane that is somewhat can be compared to (cell)Earth vs. (nutrients)Moon, so it sends out some transport proteins and pulls it until it reaches the cell membrane which then gets absorbed into the cell and this does this all WITHOUT USING ENERGY
What is Facilitated Diffusion
500
It is when a big piece of nutrients is by a cell but the size comparison is (cell)Earth vs. (nutrients)Mars, the nutrients are too big to be absorbed so what the cell does is it moves to the nutrients until they are touching and tells its membrane to go all the way around it almost like a net then eventually it forms all the way around the nutrients and becomes a part of the cell. The cell then dissolves the membrane of the nutrients and now it can now have as much as it wants.
