Explain the significance of the A&T Four
On February 1, 1960, four A&T freshman went downtown to Woolworth's. They sat at the white's only lunch counter and demanded to ve served. They came back day after day with more people. This started the sit in movement which sparked across the country and was influential in the beginning of the Civil Rights Movement. Woolworth's was desegregated by the end of July 1960.
