MYTH: There may be an improvement of blood sugar over the span of a Type II diabetics life but not a full recovery. There will most likely be have a tendency towards high blood sugar levels especially if they are not active or are overweight.

MYTH: People with diabetes can eat sweets and chocolates in SMALL PORTIONS as long as it is combined with a healthy meal plan and/or exercise.

MYTH: Fruit is recomemded for your daily diet. However, it is not recomended to eat accessive amounts. Fruits are carbohydrates and can raise your blood sugar. Speak to your dietian about the amounts and types of fruits you should eat.

MYTH: Type II Diabetes is a major cause for heart disease and stroke. It can also cause blindness, kidney disease, and Neuropathy.

MYTH: The person with diabetes may feel weak or fatigued when blood sugars are too high or too low. The only way to know for sure is to test the blood. Blood levels can be high and causing damage without the person knowing.

FACT: Comsumption of sweets is not a cause of diabetes. Although, it can lead to obesity which increases your risk of diabetes.
