What is water security?

What is proxy data?
The amount of water an ecosystem requires to continue functioning
What is ecological demand?
A mixture of air pollutants and particulates, including ground level ozone, that is formed when oxides of nitrogen and volatile organic compounds(VOCS) react in the presence of sunlight
What is photochemical smog?
The involuntary movement of a person or people away from their home or home region. Causes include natural disasters, wars, and food or water insecurity
What is forced migration?
A material that allows liquid to pass through it
What is a permeable material?
An area where the average concentration of ozone is below 100 Dobson Units
What is the ozone hole?
The upper layer in the ocean that sunlight penetrates, allowing for photosynthesis
What is the euphotic zone?
Water that moves from the land surface or unsaturated zone into an aquifer. Where porous rock at the surface allows water to seep into an aquiifer
What is natural recharge?
A company that has its head office in one country,, and has branches or factories in other countries. It works across international borders (trans-national).
What is a transnational corporation (TNC)?
A relationship between two organisms where both species benefit from their interactions
