Materials
A student is new to your school and you feel bad because they are sitting alone at recess. Describe the difference between showing them empathy and showing them compassion.
Empathy means you can imagine what it is like to be in their shoes, compassion means you act on it to try and help or support them.
Kids wanted to solve a bug problem at school. They know that frogs eat bugs, so without gathering any other perspectives, they released 10 frogs on campus. Over time, 10 frogs turned into 100 and they were everywhere! Which S.T.E.P. did these students skip.
