Infants learn to trust that their caregivers will meet their basic needs. If these needs are not consistently met, mistrust, suspicion, and anxiety may develop.
Autonomy VS Shame and Doubt is
important to encourage exploring, it has them develop autonomy.
An example of Initiative VS Guilt is
A kid takes initiative to take care of a pet fish, giving him a sense of purpose. A year later that same kid started to neglect his duty of taking care of his pet fish and he forms a sense of guilt.
Industry VS Inferiority happens at age
Ages 6-11
Example of Confusion
In a search for identity and purpose, someone may mistake what they are capable of, based on other’s experiences. This misunderstanding will lead to confusion about themselves and possible insecurities.

we are overly restrictive, which causes a lack of confidence, and independence.
Initiative VS Guilt is
When a child takes initiative, they are taking action to do something and it gives them a sense of purpose, but if that child neglects their duty or is criticized, they form a sense of guilt..
An example of Industry
A second-grade boy is praised for his ability to complete a difficult assignment. He also receives recognition from his peers. This all helps him to believe more in himself and what he can do.
Identity VS Confusion happens when
they attain a strong sense of self, thy build the resilience that allows them to go after their dreams. Not establishing an identity during these years can result in insecurity and doubt about who they are.
The example given of Trust VS Mistrust is
Let's say a mother feeds her baby in the morning. The next time the child is hungry, they will cry, hoping the mother will hear the cry and feed the child again

Industry VS Inferiority is
hard work, someone who is working at developing skills to achieve something greater. For a child in this stage to feel industrious they need to feel capable and competent. Inferiority would be the child feeling discouraged or incompetent.
Identity VS Confusion happens at ages
12-18
