Why is Diversity without Equity problematic?


What is:

Having Diversity without Equity, can lead to unintentionally highlighting and creating inequality in and environment. Having a diverse group ensures that people with have different needs and socioeconomic backgrounds among other things. A lack of equity would not ensure that they are each given an equal chance to access resources and benefits based on those varying needs and limitations.
