Talk about the differences in approach to converting Native Americans between the French and the Spanish missionaries.

The Spanish were much crueler, often threatening Native Americans to convert to Catholicism or else... The French missionaries had a much better relationship with Native Americans and were not demanding. Many missionaries often lived with the Native Americans at times.
