Israel’s story can be described as sin → consequences → exile → return → restoration. What does this pattern teach us about the character of God?
It shows that God takes sin seriously and that our choices can have consequences. However, it also shows God’s mercy, faithfulness and willingness to forgive. Even after Israel’s failure, God gave them opportunities to return to Him and rebuild.
