Do you have to wear cohort shirts every day?
Yes, and your full outer layer must be your cohort color.
Where should your garbage and recycling go?
In the garbage and recycling cans. Do not leave your garbage/old papers in your classrooms. There are trash and recycling containers outside too.
Can you take your masks off when in class outside?
If the teacher has positioned you away from your peers and have been GIVEN PERMISSION, yes.
Who can you eat with?
Your cohort.
Can you use any bathroom?
No, you use your cohort bathroom.
When can you use your phone at school?
Never. You can use it in your car when coming and going from school. At school, it should be in your backpack, turned off.
When does class start and end?
Class starts when the bell rings, but might end after the bell if the teacher or a student is finishing a thought. Please be respectful and don’t pack up or stand up until the class is officially over.
What supplies should you take for an outside class?
What your teacher tells you to bring, which might be nothing or all your supplies. Please make sure you have basic school supplies like a writing utensil, paper, etc in your backpack at all times.
What distance do you need to be from each other?
Minimum of 3 feet with masks. We are shooting for 6 feet at lunch when masks are off.
What do I do with the okay supplies I use?
Make sure they are put away. There are two buckets for supplies.
Do I need to stay solely in the high school area?
For the most part, yes. You should only be in high school classrooms; some of which are in building 100 or 200. If you need to go somewhere, you should try to walk outside the building as much as possible. Walks on the trail are not allowed at this time.
Can you take your masks off in class?
No.
How far away do I need to be from a classmate when outside?

Can you wander around the whole campus at lunch?
No, HS has specific zones for their cohorts to eat.
When is the best time to use the bathroom?
During your morning break or at lunch/recess.
Where on campus should you go when your school day ends?
IMMEDIATELY to the pickup circle and stay there until your ride arrives. If you have tutoring, you can go to McMahan Hall.
When should you charge your laptop?
Every night when you go home so it is fully charged when you arrive at school.
Are behavioral expectations when in an outside class less, the same, or more than when you are inside for class? Why?
More because there are more distractions. You might be doing more hands-on work or be moving around. There is not a physical boundary to your class like a wall, etc...
Can 11th and 12th graders go off campus at lunch?
Not until we are in the orange tier and Ms. LeValley has approved your ability to leave. You must be in good academic and behavioral standing.
Where can I hangout or play during recess?
You have the concrete area outside building 400 and 300, between 500 and 300, and behind 300 too. For now, you also have the garden to hang out in. You should not be in your eating area or on the deck attached to 500 after lunch time is done.
What do I do if I show up late or need to leave early?
Go to the office in building 200 to check-in or check-out.
Where should I put my backpack/supplies?
There will be lockers available to use. Let us know if you want one. They are often only a few steps away from your classes. Otherwise, all material, if on the floor, should be close to your desk allowing others to walk without tripping over your stuff.
What won't you have access to that you would have access to when inside a building for class?
Power to charge your computer. Please make sure your computer is charged when you come to school.
How long do you have to sit in your eating area before you get up to play/hangout?
You need to be in your eating area for 15 minutes between 12:10-12:25.
Why should you wash your hands for 20 seconds with soap and water?
Soap breaks up bacteria and germs at the molecular level. Its ingredients of oil and fat mixed with water pull apart bacteria and germs. It's doesn't do this instantaneously so it needs time to work and time for you to coat and scrub your entire hand.
