NO! It is a time for you to sit and enjoy a book silently. It is a calming way for you to practice your reading skills. It is a time for it to be quiet so you can focus on your book!

False. That would be distracting others and yourself from learning.
It is okay for me to scream and run around the hallway?
Nope! We have calm bodies in the hallways to keep us and others safe.

Nope! You will be in the lunchroom helping the custodians scrub the floors and miss out on recess.
I see my friends goofing around in the bathroom. Is it okay if I goof around too?
NO! Bathrooms are GROSS and GERMY! Do you job and get back to class. It is not a place to play around in.
I am mad at my friend because they said something mean to me, so I hit them. Is that okay?
We keep our hands to ourselves. We have safe bodies to keep us and others safe. If we have a disagreement with our friends, walk away, and ask someone for help.

Ask any adult in the room. If adult is busy at the moment, ask a peer for help.

I should be a leader in the hallway by showing the quiet sign, staying in a straight, single file line, walking face forward, and being silent.
YES! It helps us get from place to place quicker and it doesn't disrupt others learning!

Yes! Please help the custodian staff by cleaning up after yourself. Make sure that your table spot is cleaned up. Help others clean up as well!
