What should we do when we first come into the room?
Put our stuff away, sit and finish any work from the day before or read!
Should we move ahead in math?
No, we should follow along to make sure we understand the lesson.
When should we use the bathroom?
Snack, recess and lunch.
During ELA intervention how do we know what to do?
We look at the board to see what our group is doing!
What is the consequence if I speak out of turn?
What do we do when a friend starts telling us about the calendar information?
Finish breakfast and put away our books and work.
What are the expectations for independent reading?
If you need a new book, pick one during morning work, you are to stay seated, reading quietly, eyes on our books. No looking around. No talking. No walking around.
How should we line up?
Voices off.
Eyes forward.
Hands to ourselves.
Feet Walking.
Giving the person in front of us space.
We do not cut!
Should we be doing anything other than what is on the board?
NO! Unless Ms. Souza gives you specific directions!
What is the consequence for being unkind to others?
I will apologize and try to be kinder!
How should we sit on the rug?
In a circle, criss-cross apple sauce, quiet and hands to ourselves.
What are the expectations for reading and math?
Try our best! TRY! TRY! TRY! 3 times before asking for help!
It's ok to make mistakes, it is not ok not to try!

How long should we take in the bathroom?
2 minutes.
What do I do if I finish my assigned book before the time to switch?
Reread the book to help me grow as a reader!
What is the consequence if I lose at a game?
I will know that losing is part of life and it is ok. I will dust it off and try again.
When Ms. Souza calls us! With our voices off, quietly and slowly with our hands to ourselves.
What should we do when Ms. Souza is teaching?
Our voices are off.
Our eyes are forward.
Our ears are on and attentive.
When should we run in the hallway?
Never!!
If Ms. Souza is with a student and I need help, what should I do?
Do what is on the board or read a book quietly until she is ready to help me if Mr. Josh is not available.
What happens if I am fooling around in the hallway?
I will get points taken off and lose privileges of leaving the classroom until I can earn Ms. Souza's trust back!
When others are talking, what should we do?
3 parts
Voices off (no whispering), eyes on the person who is talking and our listening ears on!
What do we do when we want to ask a question?
We raise our hands!
What do we need when we go out of the classroom?
Ask Ms. Souza ALWAYS!
Have a pass with you always!
What do I do during math intervention when I need help and Ms. Souza is busy?
I can use my strategies, try my hardest, and put up my sign that I need help. I can skip the question and try my best on the next question. If I still don't know how to answer the next question, go on iReady and wait for help!
What is the consequences for refusing to do work or not listening to reminders?
Incomplete work will be sent home.
You will lose Fun Friday and other privileges until you are able to earn trust back.
