How are you expected to enter the classroom?
You should enter the classroom quietly, put away your bags, and look at the TV for directions.
What should you do when you need to leave the room?
If you need to leave the room, raise up a sign (crossed fingers or a "one"). If you are given permission, you need to sign out if you are going to the restroom. Then, you take the pass that matches where you are going, and return it when you come back.
What is the order to complete KETCHUP time?
The order to completing ketchup time is: must-do, catch-up, may-do.
What should the transition from the end of lunch until the start of second recess look like?
At the end of lunch, you should clean up all of the trash on and under the table. Then, you will put all lunchboxes in the lunch bin. Next, you will wait in a line for the teachers. Finally, you will WALK out to recess, stopping to use the restroom if you need to on the way out.
What should be in the top part of your desk?
Ms. B Smith's class' library books should be in the top part of the desk.
How should you ask for help?
You should ask for help by raising your hand and waiting for the teacher to call on you.
What are the consequences for not following classroom rules?
Possible consequences for not following classroom rules are warnings, loss of privileges, recess laps, or a visit to the office.
What should you do if you are absent?
If you are absent, you need to check in with your math and language arts teacher and see what you missed. Then, get any missed assignments finished and turned in as soon as possible.
What should you do if you are late to school?
If you're late to school, you need to stop by the office and get a tardy pass. Then, you need to bring it to your homeroom teacher, grab your black bag and ipad, and go to class.
What should be in the bottom part of the desk?
In the bottom part of the desk, there should reading journals and writing journals.
What does active listening look like?
Active listening looks like you are facing the speaker and not interrupting.
What should group or partner work look like?
When you work in a group, you should assign roles, work together, and respect each other's ideas.
What is reading instructions carefully important?
What happens in the case of a fire drill?
When there is a fire drill, you need to immediately stand up and line up. Then, quietly walk in a line outside to the meeting spot. When you get there, you need to stand quietly and face the school. When the teacher takes attendance, you need to clearly say "here" when they call your name.

How can you model responsibility in class?
You can model responsibility by being prepared, completing all of your assignments, and respecting class time.
What should you be doing during transitions?
During a transition, you should move quickly and quietly to the next activity or location.

If you lose an assignment, first you could check inside of your desk, red folder, and black bag. Second, you can check the no-name sign. Last, If you still cannot find it, then let the teacher know.

If there is an intruder drill, you need to stay calm. Find your teacher and get in line QUICKLY and QUIETLY. Follow the line to the meeting spot, listen for attendance, and wait quietly for instructions.

Why is it important to respect class time?
Respecting class time creates a comfortable environment for everyone and prevents distractions.

If you have a problem with a classmate, you should speak to them calmly and try to resolve the issue. Listen to them, and then have them listen to you. If that doesn't work, seek help from an adult.
When is all classwork due by?
All classwork is due by the end of the week on Thursday, unless the teacher tells you a different day!
What should you do if there is an intruder drill and you are INSIDE?
If there is an intruder drill, you need to QUICKLY and QUIETLY get to the corner of the classroom, out of the view of any windows. The teacher will turn off all of the lights, and you will wait for attendance and instructions.
What belongs on the top, middle, and bottom of your locker?
On the top shelf of your locker should be extra school supplies. In the middle should be your backpack. On the bottom should be your book bin.
