Each claim is unique and we attempt to recover the insured's deductible and the amount paid by State Farm. If the other carrier disputes liability or damages, it can take 6 months or more once the claim is sent to Subrogation Services. If the claim is escalated to litigation, it can take even longer. Here's what State Farm tells customers in our initial Subrogation letter: "The time needed for recovery varies with each claim, and could take up to one year or longer. We may contact you periodically during the recovery process for additional information."
