How do you know if you have to UA for the Day?
If your initials are on the board and your UA is not completed at the end of the day.
What are your breaks used for?
Using the restroom, Using the phone, smoking, eating your full meals, sleeping/napping, listening to music on your head phones and doing UA's.
What is cross- talking?
Talking out of turn, talking to someone when others are talking and taking over someone.
What time is coffee?
Coffee is available from 8:30 – 9:15 AM daily.
The coffee pot will be cleaned out at the 1st break from 9:45am-10am.
Where do we smoke during breaks?
in the parking lot outside on the top.
when leaving group for any reason what should you do?
If you are gone for more then 20 mins what will happen?
Let staff know.
You will be marked as absent and be written as eloped.
What happens if you show up under the influence?
You will be sent home, your treatment team will be notified and there will be other consequences.
how should we treat everyone in group?
Be RESPECTFUL and CONSIDERATE.
Be attentive and utilize active listening skills
Do not make judgmental, condescending, or degrading statements or comments.
Keep discussion appropriate by being be mindful of your questions and tone.
What is care cash and where can you find the prices?
incentives for buying things at the care store.
Care Store Item Prices are located on the refrigerator door in the group room or on the cabinet door in the snack and hygiene room.
How far from the building do you smoke and where do you put your cigarettes?
at least 20 feet away from the building entrance to smoke. That distance is the legal minimum.
Make sure to put your cigarette butts in the designated trash.
What time does each group start on MWF and TR?
Be in the class, seated and ready to share by 1st class at 9:15 AM, 2nd class 10:00 AM, 3rd class 11:00 AM, 4th class 12:15 PM, 5th class 1:15 PM on MWF. Groups are done at 2:00pm.

Make sure you are respecting the confidentiality of your peers by not sharing what is discussed in group, outside of group.
How do you get care cash?
You will receive 1 CARE CASH for arriving to each group on time. You will also receive 1 CARE CASH for every active participation and engagement & 5 Care Cash for doing your chore. After your chore is completed.
If something is wrong in the building or restroom what do you do?
See something say something.
When do you complete UA's and what happens if you don't complete it by the end of the day?
All UA’s must be done during the breaks and not while groups are in session. IT WILL RESULT IN AN AUTOMATIC POSITIVE.
What does glorifying mean and why do we not glorify?
Glorify means to describe or talk about something as positive or good, especially when it is not justified. This program is for people recovering from substance addiction and dependence, and speaking positively or fondly about those substances can be triggering to them.
Do we borrow or lend anything?
DO NOT LEND/BORROW MONEY, CIGARETTES, OR OTHER BELONGINGS FROM PEERS.
It is your responsibility to bring your own belongings.
What can you buy with care cash and when can you buy them?
All food and hygiene items belong to Care Store and must be purchased with Care Cash.
You are allowed ONE ITEM from the freezer for lunch at no cost. All other fridge/freezer items must be purchased.
All hygiene items are limited to one item per person per week.
Soda and juice are limited to one per person per day.
Purchases may only occur Before & After group, during breaks and on lunch.
Do we go to IOP side during treatment hours?
No. Downstairs staircase area is for IOP ONLY.
What do you need to do if you are coming late to group, have an appointment or are going to be out sick?
Call or inform staff at least a day in advance if you will not be attending treatment due to appointments, illness, tardiness, or having to leave early. The numbers to call are 808-791-6196 (Jae & Austin).
If staff does not answer, leave a message with your name, date, telephone number, and reason for callout.
You are required to provide a doctor’s note if you are attending a doctor’s appointment or will be out sick. Please bring this with you to your next group session.
What's the rules about cellphones?
Do not use cell phones or other electronics during group. This includes text messages, calls, social media, entertainment apps, and/or games.
Inform staff in advanced if you are expecting a call during group time. We will excuse you if the reasoning is legitimate.
If you have not informed staff or received permission in advance, you cannot take calls during group time.
3. Turn your cell phone to vibrate, silent, airplane mode, or off and put it away in your bag/pocket.
Under NO circumstances should pictures, videos, or recordings be taken in the group room, during group, or in the building. This is to maintain and protect the confidentiality of others.
We will not tolerate pictures, videos, or recordings of peers, group sessions, or staff.
This violates HIPPA and confidentiality purposes, and can result in immediate discharge.
What do we say about relationships?
Romantic or sexual relationships/interactions between peers is strictly prohibited; this program is to focus on yourself and self-recovery.
Staff encourages you to establish and maintain healthy boundaries with peers.
Always respect when a peer says “NO.” Consent is extremely important and necessary for people to be able to feel safe.
Friendships are okay
What time do chores start and how do you sign up for them?
between 1:45 – 2:00 PM and you write your initials on the board next to the chore you will do that day.
Can we go downstairs during 9am-2pm for any thing?
No. During group hours, you should not leave program grounds. If you want to get food from a restaurant or other shops outside of the facility, do so before 9:00 AM or after 2:00 PM.
