We cannot advise students if they should or shouldn’t submit their test scores; students should work with their staff at their high school to make this decision.

"If you believe that your test score supports your academic abilities, feel free to submit, however if you think your grades do a good job of showing your abilities then do not feel like you have to submit it."

Additional talking points:
- Cite the admitted student profile (middle 50%)
- Include the fact the score can be a small plus. . . or a small minus

I am interested in CBS and I haven't taken Physics yet, however I am currently registered for Anatomy next year which better aligns with my interests. Do you suggest that I try to take Physics?

This is going to be dependent per student, however we are going to be looking for rigorous STEM coursework to be taken for CBS admission. So if they took AP Bio and are now taking Anatomy go ahead with Anatomy or if the Anatomy course is College level that should be okay too.

However lean into Holistic Review as well.

400

400

Can my application fee be waived? If so, how? (Name three ways a student can qualify for a waived application fee.)

There are ways that your application fee can be waived, and this is done through the application itself. In order to qualify, you would have to be able to check one or multiple of these options:

  1. I am enrolled in or am eligible to participate in the Federal Free or Reduced Price Lunch program (FRPL)

  2. My annual family income falls within the Income Eligibility Guidelines set by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service

  3. I am enrolled in a federal, state, or local program that aids students from low-income families (e.g., College Possible, St. Paul MEP, TRIO programs such as Upward Bound)

  4. My family receives public assistance

  5. I am homeless or I live in federally subsidized public housing or a foster home

  6. I am a ward or orphan

  7. I can provide a supporting statement from a school official, college access counselor, financial aid officer, or community leader
