When I met my wife she was living in an apartment that my grandparents lived in when I was little. Her bedroom was my grandfather's old bedroom!   

My grandfather worked on a transatlantic steamship shoveling coal into the furnace. He emigrated to the U.S. by jumping off that ship one day and swimming to New York City.    

I inherited my love of trivia from my grandfather. So it was a very special moment for me when I won a major trivia competition in 2011... on his birthday.
