When do we need to get approval from supervisor to commit the team to do transports?
Prior to agreeing to do it, it's important to check bandwidth of team and locations for transport as well as how long we will be agreeing to do this for. Things to consider is when and who is taking over the transport. Its also important to all have the same work flow to really deliver the message that we are one team and all on the same page
Who do you submit IHBS form to and by when?
Supervisor (janet or lupe). Submission is as soon as possible to be able to capture as much pathways billing as possible.
What is the opening date for a PSS2?
Intake date. Not referral date
What needs to happen in order for school transports get approved?
As long as there is a plan to continue to be able to provide support moving forward. We usually need a 2 week timeline (can be assessed week to week) and transportation referrals need to be in place for continuing transportation.
Who does your supervisor submit IHBS form to and how do you know when approval is received?
Rebeca, then she will submit to behavioral health. Once we have approval Rebeca will put approval in the chat.
What is the effective diagnosis date for a PSS 1 and PSS 2
PSS1 is day of referral PSS is day of intake "opening day"
When can we do a medication transport?
Not common, but there can be consultation for exceptions. Things to consider youth behaviors, can medication be kept safe in trunk, can CG or SW pick up
What other attachment needs to be included when you submit the IHBS form for approval?
Medi-Cal card or verification. We need to start asking for medi-cal at intake for purposes of IHBS approval and for linkage planning

When can we transport siblings?
Parents must be in the vehicle (car seat if needed) or case by case with prior approval from management due to liability purposes and consents begin signed specifically for our youth
When would you not submit an IHBS form/ or get approval from the family and team for IHBS approval?
When a youth does not have medi-cal
Who can sign consent forms?
Legal guardian, judge, social worker - social worker can sign once attempts have been made to get LG to sign. IF SW signs consents then we should not see supports for LG, this would mean we do have contact with them and are able to capture their consent :)
When we do transport from a CSU or Psych hospitalization discharge?
We don’t 😊...through consultation we may be able to join the parent in going with them but would need arrangements to support with transportation of team member back to their car
Can you start billing IHBS the day you get approval from the team/family?
No, you can start billing IHBS once we receive approval from behavioral health and Rebeca updates approval date, you would then update the youth teams chat.
One of your youth moved into a new foster home, what do you need to do before you can connect with foster parent about youths treatment, team updates and clinical support?
We would need an ROI. Without it an ROI what we can do is limited as far as communication goes.
